Ring Of Honor: A "True" Alternative To Professional Wrestling

I have been reading alot of articles that have been posted on this site and I am very happy to see passionate wrestling fans, with great knowledge of wrestling and loyality to their favorite wrestling company or companies. But, after reading these articles about the WWE and TNA; I started to wonder why wasn't Ring Of Honor being written about or talked about amongst all of these wrestling fans? Is it because it is an indy fed? Is it because it doesn't have the fire works and explosions that the WWE or TNA has? I have been watching wrestling since I was 5 and I am 35 today. I have watched some of the greatest matches and some of the worst matches in wrestling thus far and I have to say that ROH has been top notch when it comes to in-ring action!

Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of the WWE and I am trying to give TNA a chance, but I like to watch WRESTLING MATCHES, not a midget beating a good wrestler ; like Chavo. Or has beens like The Nasty Boys, who were never a good team, in my opinon, to begin with.

WWE has stars from ROH, who have proven that they can be stars in Titan land. CM Punk is the most successful of the alumni from ROH. He has held every major title in the WWE and almost everywhere he has wrestled. If you think Punk is great or if you hate his guts, watch some of his work in ROH. He his funny on the mic and his matches are fantastic. Evan Bourne, though not a major star, he is a great talent, that is not being used correctly.And the WWE signed perhaps one of the most gifted wrestlers in a long time; Bryan Danielson. He had a match with Chavo(that you can see on youtube) and it was solid.

TNA has made stars out of wrestlers from ROH as well. AJ Styles what he calls himself; Phenomal! I had the pleasure of seeing him take on Evan Bourne a.k.a Matt Sydal at my first live ROH show called Hell Freezes Over! Samoa Joe, who put ROH on the map, with his near 2 year world title reign is another example of a great talent from ROH. And Nigel Mcguinness a.k.a Desmond Wolfe is another great wrestler from ROH.

ROH also is the one company that you get to see major wrestlers from Japan. I was fortunate to see live the late Misawa perform in 2 unforgettable matches and I also saw a 5 star match between Kenta Kobashi and Samoa Joe. I never knew how great the wrestlers of Japan were until I saw them in ROH. Now, I'm on youtube watching them perform with my jaw dropped to the floor.  

I guess what I'm saying is, let's include some articles about ROH as well on this site. There are many of wrestlers in ROH that are ALL future stars in the making. Tyler Black, The Briscoe Brothers(best tag team in wrestling today!), Davie Richards, Roderick Strong, Chris Hero, Claudio Castignolia, Kevin Steen, Austin Aries are just a few of the wrestlers, who does have what it takes to be superstars in either the WWE or TNA. If you don't recognize some of the names, look them up and watch some of there matches on youtube. ROH is a great wrestling company. I have seen some great matches there and look forward to seeing some more in the future.

I am all for entertaining the masses, but at some point,the WWE and TNA should live up to their names : World WRESTLING Entertainment! Total NONSTOP Action! Both companies do alot of talking and when they do wrestle, sometimes the matches leave you disappointed. ROH delivers action and wrestling and entertainment.

All I'm saying is give ROH a chance to entertain you if you have'nt already. I was ready to give up on wrestling, until my best friend introduced me to ROH and I have been a fan of wrestling all over again. IFor me, ROH is the other alternative to wrestling that TNA should be. The WWE will always be the top promotion in the wrestling business, but if your looking for something different, watch Ring Of Honor.
