The Yankees Winn, Thehehehe Yankees Winn!

Aren't the Yankees amazing?  Somehow they can even manage to get a Winn in the offseason.  Randy Winn that is.

Pending a physical, Winn will be the latest Yankee outfielder that can barely make a throw to his cut off man.

I don't know how much Winn can help New York... well... win, especially considering the fact he's played the most games out of any active Major Leaguer without a post season appearance.  Plus he's 35 and it doesn't look like he's on the Barry Bonds regimen where he'll have his best years late in his career.

With this it pretty much sets in stone that Johnny Damon won't return.  It's sad to see Damon go, but, actually no it's not.  Who the hell cares?  That guy used to be a freggin' Red Sock anyway.  He's a trader.  Hey Damon, thanks for helping out getting us another ring, now go change your hair style again to try and get people to notice you.  I swear that guy must really be right handed the way he throws lefty.  I'd rather have a 98 year old Kenny Lofton with no arms and no legs out there when a guy's rounding third.

And Damon's agent, my favorite person in the world Scott Boras, says the Yanks couldn't afford Johnny in their budget.  Yea, right.  And Bill Gates can't afford a trip to Disney World next weekend.  I think the Yankees just got tired of watching every team hit the ball to left field whenever a runner was in scoring position.

All and all, it's a win win for Winn, no pun intended.  $2 million bucks to play with the defending World Champions sounds nice and green to me.  And the Yankees can now let some of their young bucks take over in left whenever Winn needs a day off to rest his old wrinkly ass.
