NBA Star Search (Jan. 27th): Jared Dudley Latest Sun To Shine
As we always say in this article's openings, NBA Star Search is about bringing out the best in the league, and shining a spotlight on only the very best performances.
If they're not elite, they don't belong here.
However, with only five games scheduled for Tuesday night, we felt we should at least pay homage to the guys who worked their butt's off for a double-double.

And, to our surprise, there were actually quite a few of them. Read on for the top performances of Tuesday night's action:
L.A. Lakers @ Washington Wizards
Pau Gasol notched his first double-double in four tries, hitting 10-of-15 shots from the field to score 26 points, while grabbing 10 boards. The guy everyone loves to hate, Kobe Bryant, scored 26 as well, while also dishing out eight dimes.
Minnesota Timberwolves @ New York Knicks
The T'Wolves got blown out of the water by the Knicks, but we still saw some solid performances from two young guys. Corey Brewer and Ramon Sessions both topped 20 points, while both Kevin Love and Al Jefferson were wildly ineffective. It was a crazy night.
On the Knicks side of the ball, David Lee registered yet another double-double, with 28 points and 10 rebounds. Al Harrington dropped in his own double-double, with 26 points and 10 boards.
New York point guard Chris Duhon dished out an impressive 13 assists, but laid a goose-egg in the scoring department, as he went 0-for-3 from the field.
Milwaukee Bucks @ Dallas Mavericks
Andrew Bogut saw his season averages rise (16 points and 10 boards). He played a nearly flawless game, going 13-of-14 from the field, and scoring 32 points. He also chipped in with nine boards, while Carlos Delfino filled up the box score, dropping in 22 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Jason Kidd (yawn) dropped in a double-double, scoring 11 points and dishing out 12 assists, while grabbing two steals. Dirk Nowitzki was also his usual dominant self, scoring 28 points while notching eight boards and five assists.
Charlotte Bobcats @ Phoenix Suns
Stephen Jackson became just our second 30-point scorer of the night. He dropped in 30 points, grabbed nine boards and also parted with five dimes.
Boris Diaw was also impressive, scoring 24 points and bringing down 11 boards for a double-double.
Steve Nash narrowly missed yet another double-double with 23 points and nine assists. Jared Dudley put on a show with 8 points and 10 boards in his first start of the season.
Golden State Warriors @ Sacramento Kings
Rookie guard Stephen Curry continued his offensive surge and barely missed a double-double. He had a great night with 27 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
Corey Maggette recorded an interesting double-double. He notched 19 points and 12 boards but scored 13 of his points from the free throw line. Maggette went an atrocious 3-of-22 from the floor.
Spencer Hawes recorded a double-double for the Kings, scoring 18 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while also laying down three blocks.
Rookie guard Tyreke Evans had a solid game with 23 points, while Beno Udrih made an impact off the bench with 24 points and five assists.
Kevin Martin continued his abysmal shooting, going 1-for-9 from the floor, scoring just five points.
