Two weeks from now, the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts will be vying for the opportunity to call themselves the greatest football team in the world for an entire year.
Because the Pro Bowl is being played this weekend instead of after the Super Bowl, the latter will be the official culmination of the decade of football chronicled as "The 00s".
The problem is that if you do not like the Colts or the Saints, then the upcoming weeks probably suck for you. Why? Well because your team is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things for the next two weeks unless they sent a lot of people to the Pro Bowl, but who cares about that?
So for those of you who have teams in the top 16 of the decade, this is a nice chance for you realize that your team may not be playing this February, but in the grand scheme of things—the previous decade—they were relevant. If your team doesn't fall in the top 16, then all I can really say is sorry.
*For the record, this current iteration involves "what-if" scenarios for both potential Super Bowl outcomes. Once the result goes final, the final, final product will come out.
