2009 Feuds. Young Talent May Be The Way To Go For WWE This Year

Gabriel GironasJan 24, 2010

The 2010 WWE Draft is getting closer and closer. 2009 was a year of "change" in the WWE, specially cause of the whole idea of having new PPV´s. But reallity is that WWE had really nice feuds this past year, of course with some exeptions. Let´s start by talking about these feuds:

Edge vs Hardy. If it´s true they´ve been "enemies" for a long time, speacially during they´re tag team era. They never had a push as a one on one feud. Having the first step in the 2008 Survivor Series PPV, WWE pushed really nice Hardy for the next couple of months making him  a great main eventer. And Edge as you may know has become one of the most important main eventers for the company. Nice to see this one, it was a short but really intense feud that ends at Extrem Rules in an epic ladder match.

HBK vs Undertaker. You may belive this wasn´t a feud at all, just because they gave live back to it for the XXV Mania build up, but let´s be honest they had the BEST match of the year and really rised the bar at Wrestlemania. I belive WWE was wise by not giving this feud a longer push, cause agains let´s be real HBK and Taker were both really in bad shape. But it was nice to see this one.

Y2J vs Mysterio. A fan favorite feud this past year, both really delivered great matches and great segments in the build up. WWE again making it nice by not pushing it for to long.

Jhon Cena vs Sheamus. WWE has to start making more of these for 2010, nice to FINALLY see a push for a new superstar in the roster. Many controversy sorrounded this specially because of the relationship Sheamus has with HBK and Triple H, but then again I´m really happy to FINALLY see a new face in the main event. More than  the build up for this one I really like the idea of rising new stars.

DX vs Legacy. This was probably one of my favorite feuds this year, I have to admit at the begining I wasn´t really into it but once I saw they´re matches I was happy to be wrong. Maybe the only part that missed this feud was the poin I gave in the previeus feud: the intention of rising new stars. Legacy should have won it at Hell in a Cell but then again it nice to see new faces in the main event.

CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy. This was really the best feud this past year in WWE. A really new and fresh rivalry between these two guys. Turning Punk heel was a good call by WWE officials, the end was totally great, cause once again FINALLY WWE gave the win to the "New" guy. If it´s true Jeff was barely starting to find himself in the main spot he also had his previeus chances in the past and let´ps be honest WWE really missed the point by not giving him a nice push earlier. This was my favorite feud of the year.

Just the same feuds.

If it´s true WWE really made nice feuds last year they also made some old and boring feuds too. Triple H vs Randy Orton vs Cena was one of them they changed the reason fo the feud but the same faces remained for almost the whole year. Batista vs Orton was another one that really didn´t catch with the audience they could have made it nicer. And the Jeri-Show wasnpt really a good idea, new faces were there but the team itself didn´t entertained me at all.

2010 Draft and future feuds in WWE.

There is a lot fo talk that this year´s Draft will "break" old partnerships, wich can be a ood thing as it can be a bad thing.

Here are some feuds I think would make it nice in the WWE this year.

Legacy vs DX. A short feud for these two tag teams and a final showdown at Wrestlemania would be a really nice idea, finally giving Orton´s boy´s the final push they need before begining singles carrers. Also a good way to end the DX storyline.

John Cena vs CM Punk. The more I think of these one the more I like it, Cena being Drafted to SD is a really nice option. And just imagine the battles between these two. Cena has already gave the WWE a nice push, but I think itps time for him to give the push to the new guys, just like he did with Sheamus. Finish the push for Punk and he might just be you´re new Bret Hart.

Evan Bourne vs Randy Orton. These may sound a little stupid, but we have to fair with Evan, he is probably one of the greattest performers WWE has in the young talent, a push for him this year might just be the way to go. Randy Orton also needs new battles and new faces in the ring with him. Hope to see Evan in the main event soon.

John Morrison vs Y2J. Looks like 2010 will be the year for Morrison WWE already has a DVD coming out, he migh win the MITB this year. Y2J is really a nice oponent every time you see him, we can hate the guy but let´s be real his one of the very best. Just think of the great battles these two could have. Let me put it to you in other words:  Y2J vs The second comming of HBK.

Guys like Koffy, Evan, Morrison, Sheamus, The Miz, Drew are destined to be the future for WWE so giving these guys pushes this year might just be a good idea.

The Hart Dynasty is also in my list of these WWE future, a feud with Legacy can bring these two teams as great ones in the history of the company.

While guys like Batista, Rey Mysterio, Undertaker, HBK, Triple H, Big Show, Cena they all had they´re chances in they´re carrers I belive it´s time to bring the young talent up.

Change is good and maybe the time has come for a really deep change in the WWE matchcards this year. I´m not saying they must do it quick but Sheamus and Drew are the start of hopefully many others starting to hold the main event spot in the company.
