2010 NFL Playoffs: Brett Favre's Still Got It
Brett Favre has got to be the best story coming out of the NFL Playoffs this season.
After finally landing where he always wanted to play upon leaving Green Bay, Favre is now leading the Vikings in an unprecedented charge towards the Super Bowl.
Other big story lines from last weekend include the Dallas Cowboys getting spanked and the pesky New York Jets continuing to shock and awe the sports world.

But nothing, and I really do mean nothing, equals the performance that Favre has been putting on since donning that Minnesota jersey and pushing his team into postseason play.
“It’s been a lot of fun,” Favre told Sports Illustrated after beating Dallas. “We’re winning, we have a chance to go to the Super Bowl, and we’re playing in the championship game. Pretty awesome.”
Awesome may be an understatement as the 40-year-old Favre leads his Vikings into a Sunday evening showdown with the New Orleans Saints.
This game should be entertaining from start to finish, and I truly can’t wait for this weekend’s matchups, including Sunday’s matinee game between the Jets and Colts.
I don’t think I’ve seen this much excitement surrounding Minnesota football since Warren Moon played for the Vikings from 1994-1996.
Regardless of what happens on Sunday, Favre has got me beyond pumped about this season’s NFL Playoffs.
I’d love nothing more than to see Minnesota’s old school quarterback tear up the gridiron this weekend and carry his Vikings to the Super Bowl.
Will it happen? We’ll all know soon enough, but one thing is certain: Favre can still play the game of football, and he plays it with the love and passion of a kid that just picked up a pigskin.
It’s beautiful, and Favre’s latest outings just prove why I’m so in love with this thing we call sports: The underdog and comeback stories top them all, and this season’s Vikings team packs a punch.
