Chargers Lose To Jets: Who Is the Right Person to Blame

Sure Nate Kaeding missed three field goals, and Rivers had an INT that setup great field position for the Jets. Let's not forget that the defense fell apart late and gave up a 53 yard touchdown run that pretty much sealed the deal. Penalties were everywhere on the Chargers and dropped passes was nothing to laugh at. In the end the Chargers lost, and whose to say that if any of this was different that they still would have lost?

The story started before the game when start Wide Receiver Vincent Jackson was pulled over for having his music playing too loudly. What had started as a routine stop that normally ends with a warning turned into something more that may have killed any chance the team had from the start.

Jackson was driving on a suspended license and dead tags, which landed the Receiver in handcuffs for a brief period of time, and got his car impounded. His license were suspended due to an incident in 2006 where he was driving under the influence, and pleaded guilty. He was busted for another DUI in 2008, which is his second offense since joining the Chargers and has still not made it to court.

Jackson got away Sunday with a citatioln, but with no car and no way to the game.

Luckily he has a quarterback who loves him and gave him a ride.

Rivers told reporters that he and backup quarterback Billy Volek usually carpool together and Jackson just joined in for the day.

Jackson then had to sneak out of the game to keep the questions down, which shows that it was in the back of his head throughout the game. That was a distraction that may have had him run the route a little wrong on the Rivers INT on the Jets end of the field.

Maybe I am nuts to think this had anything to do with the outcome of the game, but anyone who has been pulled over and especially had their car impounded knows it just ruins the whole day.
