2010 Super Bowl: Inspiring Stories Each Team Has To Be Motivated By
This years final four teams all have reasons to fight for the Super Bowl this year.
The teams play for the glory, they play for a fresh round of new bandwagon fans, and they play for disney world.
But each team has a reason why they truly deserve to win this year.
I will discuss them by opinionated order of importance (least to greatest)
First off: The New York Jets
The Jets have a rookie quarterback and a rookie coach, no great receivers (besides Cotchery), and are still making quite the racket this playoff run.
Other than that screw em.
Second: The Indianapolis Colts
Did anyone here know that if the Colts win the Super Bowl this year, that Adam Vinateri will be tied for the record of most individual super bowl rings?
The lonely man up top with five (Charles Haley) will have met his match.
In a way, this is the one I would like most to see happen, considering it has to do with an NFL record, but then again it isn't.
This is the most clutch kicker in playoff history, unlike someone I know (cough, KAEDING, cough), and even though he won't be kicking this playoff run due to injury, he still gets the ring for it.
Third: The New Orleans Saints
This is a truly inspirational story, and in the eyes of someone that cares would be first; but I just don't care.
The Saints are uprising from Hurricane Katrina.
The football team that represents them has brought the whole town together in a fanship that can't be beaten.
They are in their second NFC title game since then, and are trying to get their first entry into the super bowl in franchise history.
Fourth: The Minnesota Vikings
Being a Brett Favre fan second to the Chargers team, I want to see this 40-year-old man get himself a second ring.
Brett Favre hand-picked this team to sign him because he believed this is the most talented team that was in need of a better quarterback.
I think he should prove it with a super bowl win here.
Also my top pick for offensive rookie of the year is on this team (Percy Harvin).
He is a top player in the league already, and there is nothing like winning the big one in your first season.
Also the team is trying to pull this one off for the Purple People Eaters of the '70s, who went to the super bowl numerous times, but only walked away with losses.
As for the losers of the divisional round:
The Chargers were still looking for their first Super Bowl victory, and LT is in desperate need of one.
The Cardinals are finally looking like an elite team, and put up two good years in a row, still looking for their first Super Bowl victory.
The Ravens really have no story. Last year would have been the rookie QB and Coach deal that the Jets have this year.
Screw the Cowboys, no one cares about them.
Who do you think deserves it most?
