Why Anquan Boldin's Days in an Arizona Cardinals Uniform Might Be Over
Over the past two years, Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin has been requesting a trade, but since he signed a contract that was good until 2011, he never had any leverage in the matter.
Now, according to profootballtalk.com, Boldin is not going to request a trade in the offseason.
As he told the Miami Herald, "I'm going to let it play out."

Boldin has wanted a new deal ever since fellow teammate and receiver Larry Fitzgerald got a a four-year, $40 million extension in 2008. Boldin is a three-time Pro Bowler, but in his seven years in the NFL, he has only played in all 16 games of the regular season during his rookie year, in 2003, and in 2006.
Despite all of his injuries, Boldin is still one of the best receivers in the NFL, and if he was on any NFL team other than the Cardinals, he would easily be the No. 1 receiver on the depth chart.
Now that the Cardinals have lost to the Saints in the playoffs, Boldin is in the last year of his contract and the Cardinals will most likely grant Boldin's wish to get traded so that they can get some value for him instead of letting him walk into free agency after the 2010 season ends.
If the Cardinals decide to trade Boldin in this offseason, they will not suffer at receiver due to the emergence of both Steve Breaston and Early Doucet, who each played very well in Boldin's absence during their two playoff games.
There are several NFL teams that are looking for a solid No. 1 receiver to add to their team, and possible landing spots for Boldin include: the Ravens, Seahawks, Broncos (once they trade Brandon Marshall), Bears, Dolphins, Jaguars, Bills, Browns, and Rams.
All of these teams could land Boldin if the price is right, but, regardless, Boldin's days in a Cardinals uniform may be over.
