A Letter To The Haters.

Dear Bama Haters,

I have heard all of your excuses. If Carlos Dunlap had not been suspended and Brandon Spikes had not gotten hurt... If Colt McCoy had not gotten hurt... If, If, If! Well guess what. If a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his ass on the ground!

All of you want to make excuses as to why Alabama doesn't deserve be National Champions or that they won a "tainted" title. No other team in history had to beat the number 1 and number 2 team to win the title. We did. Not only did we beat them, we pretty much dominated them.

Colt McCoy. "Oh if only Colt McCoy hadn't gotten hurt, it would have been a different game..." Thats crap. If Colt McCoy played defense and could have found a way to stop Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson from rushing for 100 plus yards a piece on the nations number 1 rush defense, then maybe I would agree with you. And it's not like he slipped on a banana peel before the game and didn't get to play. HE GOT HIT! It's football people! No one was crying when Texas knocked Sam Bradford out. If you play the "IF" game, Texas barely won that game with Bradford out. IF he didn't get hurt, Oklahoma wins easily, and Texas misses out on the BCS game altogether. But you don't want to talk about that, right?

Boise State. Congratulations. You had a great season. I give you all the credit in the world. One day, when you beat a Florida, or a Texas, or an Oklahoma, maybe you will be taken seriously. I would love to see The Tide roll onto your blue field and play in a Plus 1 style play off. But the fact is, you haven't beat anyone relevant and you won't till you join a relevant conference.

In closing, my dear haters, I would like to leave you with these thoughts. We went undefeated in the regular season. Punched the number 1 Florida Gators in the mouth and ripped the cape off of Superman, and de-horned the number 2 Longhorns in the title game. Sounds pretty deserving to me.
