Wait Till Next Year: Might Be Sooner Than You Think

The Cleveland Browns just may have finally got it right.While the world was waiting for coach Eric Mangini to be fired I was bracing for another start from scratch season. Thank God! Mike Holmgren is a man of his word.He said egos would have to be put aside for the organization to move forward,and he put his ego on the back burner and did the right thing by keeping coach Mangini and his staff.All the experts figured Mike holmgren would want his own people in place so he could reap all the reward that goes with turning around a pathetic organization,but instead he didn't ignore the strides coach Mangini and the team had mad over the course of the year.Meaning any success the team achieves the glory has to be shared.Granted after a 5-11 season Mangini will be on a short leash,but I like the direction the team is heading.The defense look improved and once the primma-donnas and salty veterans were removed from the equation the offense started to look better.And for all the Browns fans everywhere pray we don't draft a QB in the early rounds we need to focus on the defense and the right side of that offensive line,and if they are smart they will find a way to dump Andersons salary look into signing Troy Smith of the Ravens.If you all remember he beat out the Ravens now franchise QB Joe Flacco if not for him getting sick he would be the Ravens starting QB.Sign troy and let him and Brady Quinn battle it out for surpremcy and before everyone starts repeating that he is too short to throw over the line remember he is the same height as Drew Brees.But it looks like Randy Lerner listened to the right person this time when hiring Mike Holmgren a man of his word i don't know about you but I would rather follow a man i can trust to do what he says.
