"“I believe I can compete very highly in the NFL,” Spievey said in a phone interview. “I wish the Hawkeyes good luck. It’s nothing against them. I’m going to miss them like crazy.
“I love them as my brothers, but I need to move on.”
“This year, I didn’t really get a lot of action. And I know next year is going to be the same thing,” said Spievey, an all-Big Ten Conference performer. “Even though my team was winning, I kind of felt like I wasn’t a part of it. I felt like teams didn’t want to go at me as much, so I don’t know if I want to go through another year of that.”
