NFL Quick Hits (Jan. 11th): Tom Cable On His Way Out of Oakland?
Tom Cable Done in Oakland?
Al Davis and Tom Cable will reportedly meet today to discuss Cable's future, and according to Oakland beat writer David White, Cable doesn't stand much of a chance.
With Jim Fassel, Kevin Gilbride, Jim Harbaugh, and others waiting in the wings as potential replacements, Cable will likely be fired by the middle of the week.

Cardinals/Packers Break Post-Season Scoring Record
Arizona ended a heated offensive battle that went into overtime, and won on a defensive touchdown, narrowly beating the Green Bay Packers, 51-45. The 96 points was the most points in an NFL postseason game in NFL history, and was just one of the many interesting points in one of the wildest games the NFL has ever seen.
The Packers marched back to force overtime, despite at one point being down 31-10 in the second half. It was a game of almost zero defense, yet ironically ended on a defensive play on the first drive of overtime.
Jeremy Bates to Join Pete Carroll in Seattle
Bates was rumored to be involved with the Chicago Bears as a candidate for their offensive coordinator job, but it appears he'll take the safe route and follow his former superior at USC into the NFL.
With Bates at his side, Carroll could enjoy some quick success in Seattle on the offensive side of the ball.
Donovan McNabb Expected Back in 2010
For whatever reason, much of the blame for Philadelphia's uninspired loss to the Dallas Cowboys was being pointed toward Donovan McNabb, raising concerns over whether or not he'd be back as the 2010 starter.
Andy Reid firmly backed McNabb, and stated that there's no reason for him not to believe McNabb will be back as the starter. Back-up Kevin Kolb did look solid in two starts with McNabb out with an injury, but considering Philly has a Super Bowl contending roster, it's unlikely they make the shift to the younger quarterback just yet.
Tashard Choice Likely to Play Against Minnesota
Choice did not suffer a concussion, as originally feared, and should be good to go next Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings.
His impact will likely be minimal, however, as Marion Barber is healthy and set to start, while the Cowboys have been employing the explosive Felix Jones more than in the past.
