Of course Pistons fans are going to think it's a bad idea but it seems looking in Tracy Mcgrady's direction is something Joe Dumars should consider. Although Mcgrady has suffered from injuries and isn't such a reliable player because of it and has never made it past the first round of the playoffs, playing time is not what Joe D would bring T-Mac in for.

Pistons already made big moves in 2009 bringing in Ben Gordon, Charlie Villanueva, Chris Wilcox, Chucky Atkins and Ben Wallace. But in the past 10 games and since the return of Richard Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince the Pistons still can't seem to pull it together.

Mcgrady has a contract expiring at the end of the 2010 season along with other big name players. So how would bringing T-Mac in benefit the Pistons? Cap room for the big Free Agent market in 2010.

Joe Dumars decided in 2009 that he didn't want to get involved in a non promising Free Agency market by picking up Charlie Villanueva and Ben Gordon, but after the performance he has seen out of his players this season he is ready to make a big move again to move this team forward.

There are two players Joe D should consider trading that Pistons fans will probably not agree with. One being Richard Hamilton, and the other being Tayshaun Prince. Two players who helped lead the Pistons to their Championship in 2004 are two of the highest payed players on the team with a combined total of $21,699,380 in salary.

Trading off Prince and Hamilton for Mcgrady, who has a salary of $22,843,124 and a contract expiring in the end of 2010, would open up a lot of cap room and give the Pistons money to spend in the Free Agent market this off season to make another big move.

If Joe Dumars follows through with the Tracy Mcgrady trade there are two players he should take a good look at in the Free Agent market this off season.

First one being Carlos Boozer. Averaging 19.3 points and 10 rebounds per game he could be a great candidate to fill in for the loss of Tayshaun at that Forward position.

Second option being Chris Bosh. Bosh is averaging almost 24 points and just over 11 rebounds a game this season and would also be a great pickup for the Pistons as a Forward.

Whether Pistons fans like it or not, it is something Joe Dumars should highly consider. After losing 10 straight games and seeing this Pistons team has zero chemistry anymore it is time to make another big move to bring the Pistons back to the top in the 2010-2011 season.

Of course Pistons fans will truly miss the Palace Prince and Rip, but Joe D and the Pistons have to do whatever it takes to get back to the top once again and bring in another Championship for Detroit.
