Ignore corporate College Bowl nonsense

It's the time of year again when the TV is filled with corporate college football bowls. These Bowls are a joke. corporations will never allow a legitimate playoff system because they want to all sponsor these stupid bowl football games. They have a papajohns.com bowl. An outback restaurant bowl. There is a football game named for Little Caesars. This nonsense is a joke and anybody that enjoys this crap is likely a fool with no clue about the history of the college game. These games don't mean anything except getting the colleges athletic department rich for one stupid game.
These sponsors of the college football game make a mockery of the collegiate post season play. College Bowls use to have cool sounding names like the old Copper Bowl which is now something else. Money and the naming rights changes the names often of these bowl games and make following the particular history of the bowl difficult to follow.
My favorite current one is the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. This is possible the most ridiculous name yet. The Liberty Bowl can't just be the Liberty Bowl. It has to be the Autozone Liberty Bowl. Got to have that crummy auto parts store in front of it. There is an Advocare Bowl promoting vitamins in its sponsorshipof a bowl. Since these corporations have taken over all the bowls I have not followed this nonsense since. Until there is a playoff system that does away with all these sponsered football games, I will look forward only to the new year hockey game and the final week of NFL football season.
