The Top Five Reasons Why Boise State Beats Alabama Straight Up
We know, Alabama fan, you feel like you and the SEC have the right to represent your conference in your "Annual SEC/BCS National Championship Game." While we acknowledge that the SEC is a tough conference, we also would question the strength of Alabama's schedule, with cream puffs like Florida International, North Texas, and Chattanooga, not to mention a mediocre Arkansas, Kentucky, and Auburn.
You see, "Bama" fan, you may be the best team in the land but it is only the opinion of computers, coaches, and sportswriters. Unless you plan it on the field it is a "mythical" National Championship. It's time to Dump the BCS and Demand a College football Playoff Now!
You say there is no way you lose to Boise State? We say...what about your 31-17 loss to Utah last year in the Sugar Bowl! We think you underestimated Utah last year, and with all the praise you are getting as the best Crimson Tide team since "Bear" was a cub, we believe you are ripe for another monumental upset.
As for TCU fan, we feel your frustration today. You had a great season and a few different outcomes on two or three plays and we are writing about you. We have no doubt you could give Alabama a great game too and probably win! Your defense is amazing and you play tough.
The game is not played on computers, or by the opinion of coaches or sportswriters. It is played on the field. We are the only ones who can change this mess and it starts with schools like Boise State, TCU and Cincinnati which got a hose job from the Notre Dame coach.

Reason No. 5 Alabama Takes a Nap and thinks it's the Anointed National Champion
Alabama has given up 300 or more yard in four games this year against mediocre teams with the exception of Florida (yes, we are aware of the 84 yards against Chattanooga). We think Boise State moves the ball much more freely against Alabama then they did against that terrific TCU defense. We believe as they play the Tide they would be more of the risk takers we saw against Oklahoma in '07.
The game against TCU was played closer to the vest because they could get away with it as they were in control most of the game until late in the third quarter. We think the "Tide" is flat in this game and plays into Boise State's strength and the outcome is predictable if you really follow both teams.
Alabama seemed to play down to several opponents this year and they take Boise State lightly. Wrong move, fellas!
Reason No. 4 Kellen Moore Settles In and Shreds "Bama"
With the notable exception of Florida and maybe Virginia Tech, Alabama has played NO ONE! We believe the Florida game exposes some weakness in the "Tide" defense and Kellen Moore passes for 315 yards and controls the game. If the Bronco's have the ball, that means Alabama does not. A significant time advantage goes to the Bronco's along with the game and Alabama is exposed as a weak SEC schedule team.
Reason No. 3 Bronco Defense Causes Key Turnovers!
Who's to say that Brandyn Thompson is not capable of a key touchdown return interception? The body of work that Alabama has presented this year leaves us wondering if they are up to playing a desperate team like the Bronco's would be.
The Bronco defense against TCU was excellent, and they know how to play in "Big time" games because they get so few of them. Advantage Broncos!
Reason No. 2 Mark Ingram is a Heisman Trophy Bust!
"Bama" fans before you throw your computer, consider this? When was the last time a Heisman Trophy winner played big and won in the National Championship Game. That would be Mat Leinart against the Oklahoma Sooners in 2004. We think Ingram struggles (Less than 74 yards) as he did late in the season against might Auburn.
We mean this is plausible and usually happens to Heisman winners after all the parties they attend and back slapping they get. Ingram has a lousy game and Alabama has a lousy outcome.
Reason No. 1 Boise State Will Do Anything to Win!
Yep, we believe there is a statue of liberty, fake punt or interception in there somewhere. We saw Boise State beat the best defensive team in the country in a rugged defensive game. Besides, we are convinced that Alabama would play this game more not to lose and well, lose!
The Bronco's did what they had to do to beat TCU and they will do the same against Alabama.
Take it to the bank. Boise State edges Alabama 24-21 for the BCS National Championship.
