As of today's 24-0 shut out against the Eagles, Wade Phillips is embarking on a new journey. This marks the beginning of Phillips foray into Cowboy romance and lore. Where once completed he will be a loved and respected member of the Cowboys fan base.

Phillips who has had his struggles competing late in the season, with a high caliber team I might add, appears to be growing up. While criticised year after year for early exits in the playoffs, and poor December win-loss ratios. Wade has pulled a NFC East championship victory out of that magical 10 gallon hat called Texas Stadium.

While still needing a victory in Big D next week in week one of the playoffs, against this same Eagles team, to solidify a little bit more his spot. As of right now, Wade is not on the hot seat, but he isn't off of it either. He has got produce more than just this NFC East championship to keep big daddy Jones happy.

Jerry Jones does not settle for petty NFC East championships. Simply put, they dont rake in near as much money in endorsements and advertising and ticket sales as being the super bowl champion. Not to mention that since the Steelers won last year, Jerry no longer shares a claim in the title for most Super Bowl victories.

All this and the addition of "Jerry World", leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of fans and Jerry Jones. The taste of a Super Bowl the Cowboys have more than enough talent to attain. We all know however, and so does big daddy Jones, that its not just talent that wins Super Bowls. They gotta have the right coach too, and if Wade doesn't win it this year, that seat of his is gonna become very uncomfortable very quick. Jerry Jones is not a patient man, and he is not gonna wait to much longer on this one.
