Everyone is asking one question.  Can the Minnesota Vikings come back and be a contender in the playoffs? After losing E.J. Henderson the vikes got a little nervous.  Then out goes Pat Williams. This ain't looking so good for the vikings.  The defense is still struggling.  But hopefully Williams will be back for the final game of the regular season.

But then during the bears game, another problem occurred.  It was the previously injured Antoine Winfield.  He was able to play the whole game, but if you watched he wasn't able to cover the pass because of his injury.  All vikings fans are praying that those two players will be 100%.

But the main question is can the vikings turn their losses in 3 of their last 4 games?  The giants have a main factor that i believe will be a problem for Brett Favre. His name is Justin Tuck. Yes the pro-bowl d-end.  As vikings fans know, the offensive line has been struggling with pro bowl d- lineman.  For example, Julius Peppers really got to know Favre in the loss to Carolina. Phil Loadholt and Bryant McKinnie will need to show up in there final game against the giants D- line.

I think the vikings will have to give Adrian Peterson at least 20-30 rushing attempts to open the giants defense and allow the legend, Brett Farve and his 6 foot 4 reciever tear up the weak secondary of the giants.

On the other side of the ball, the vikings defense will have its ups and downs.  With Brandon Jacobs having one of his worst seasons, only averaging around 3.7 yards per carry, the vikings should be able to handle the run.  The vikings have some of the best D- lineman in the game of football.  With Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, Ray Edwards, and hopefully Pat Williams.  But behind them is the rookie Jasper Brinkley,  Brinkley has struggled defending the pass, but has quick with run reads and is a ok open field tackler.

With the giants having an pretty good QB, Ely Manning, the vikings secondary is going to have to be on their toes.  In the vikings previous games they have really strugled defending tight ends, and with New York having one of the best in the business, they are gonna have their hands full.  Also the secondary has had troubles with thier tackeling.  Cedric Griffin struggled along with Maddieu Williams.  If they want to stop the pass they will need to focus on Steve Smith who leads the NFC in receptions.

If the vikings want to have a chance, then they really need to get the special teams up to par.  After a poor performance with the bears, the special teams really needs to make stops on kickoffs.  Although the performance by the rookie, Sanford, was great.

All in all i do not beleive it will be as intense of a game as last years contest, but it will be controlled by the Vikings Offense.  If the vikings offense plays like they did in the 2nd half of the Chicago game, then I strongly believe that the Giants Defense will be in trouble.

My final thoughts are that the vikings will win by at least 10 points.  We will half to wait and see!!!
