UFC 108 Singing Classic Queen Song "Another One Bites the Dust"

Sterling SpiarsAnalyst IDecember 29, 2009

UFC 108 has been dubbed as being cursed, as the current lineup of fights has been changed drastically due to a ridiculous amount of injuries. Less than a week away from another night of potentially exciting patchwork fights, one would think that it's impossible for the card to take another hit.

Oh, how we were wrong. According to MMAWeekly , Vladimir Matyushenko is currently out of an opponent five days away from his supposed fight, as Steve Cantwell was forced to withdraw due to undisclosed reasons.

As the grumblings of spoiled MMA fans begin to arise, an old classic song grows louder and louder, drowning out the cries of the pampered.

"Another one bites the dust
Another one bites the dust
And another one gone, and another one gone
Another one bites the dust
Hey, I'm gonna get you too
Another one bites the dust"

The cursed card appears hell bent on destroying what was supposed to be the most spectacular card of the "year". The question is, who's next?

Let's all hope that the injury bug doesn't claim another soul, but if it were to happen, (which apparently still seems likely), the UFC's roster is deep enough to fill any void that may open.

Even though Matyushenko's scheduled fight is less than a week away, the UFC are actively searching for a replacement. Expect a young, hungry opponent to gladly step in on short notice within the next day.

As said before by the slightly more patient fans, Dana White has the ability to turn lemons into lemonade; cancelling a fight is the last of all possible options.

Let's just hope that the second to last line of Queen's chorus, "Hey, I'm gonna get you too" isn't all that true.
