Fantasy Basketball Box Score Breakouts: 12/26/09

Ryan LesterDec 27, 2009

Here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the boxscore last night.

Luther Head, Indiana Pacers

25 MIN, 19 PTS, 7-10 FG, 1-2 FT, 4 3PM, 1 REB, 1 AST, 1 BLK
It was just his third double-digit game of the year.

Tyler Hansbrough, Indiana Pacers

31 MIN, 19 PTS, 7-20 FG, 5-6 FT, 11 REB, 1 STL, 3 TO
He’s a bit inconsistent, but is averaging 12.3 points and 6.4 rebounds over the past ten games.

Yi Jianlian, New Jersey Nets

36 MIN, 17 PTS, 6-13 FG, 5-6 FT, 6 REB, 1 STL, 1 TO
Second strong game since his return. Go ahead and grab him.

Kenyon Dooling, New Jersey Nets

28 MIN, 11 PTS, 4-12 FG, 1-1 FT, 2 3PM, 7 REB, 6 AST
Dooling’s second straight double-figure game. Don’t add him, but keep an eye on him.

Devin Brown, New Orleans Hornets

31 MIN, 22 PTS, 6-9 FG, 4-4 FT, 6 3PM, 4 REB, 1 AST, 2 STL, 2 TO
Brown is averaging 13.2 points and 2.8 three-pointers in his last five games.

Kirk Hinrich, Chicago Bulls

36 MIN, 14 PTS, 5-13 FG, 1-1 FT, 3 3PM, 6 REB, 7 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO
Hinrich played well starting in place of John Salmons, who scored just three points. More importantly, the Bulls won, which could help Hinrich hold onto the job for a while.

Tyrus Thomas, Chicago Bulls

27 MIN, 21 PTS, 10-17 FG, 9 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 2 BLK, 4 TO
Tyrus was back in a big way.

Randy Foye, Washington Wizards

32 MIN, 16 PTS, 6-13 FG, 1-2 FT, 3 3PM, 4 REB, 1 STL, 2 TO
Foye is averaging 12.3 points, 3.0 assists, and 1.5 three-pointers in his last four games.

Damien Wilkins, Minnesota Timberwolves

33 MIN, 9 PTS, 1-10 FG, 7-7 FT, 13 REB, 2 AST, 2 STL, 1 TO
Ryan Gomes returned, but Wilkins was a menace on the glass. His shooting could open the door for Gomes when he’s fully healthy.

Corey Brewer, Minnesota Timberwolves

31 MIN, 27 PTS, 9-16 FG, 8-9 FT, 1 3PM, 7 REB,1 STL, 1 BLK, 3 TO
Brewer is averaging 17.4 points and 4.0 rebounds in his last five games.

Nazr Mohammed, Charlotte Bobcats

27 MIN, 16 PTS, 7-10 FG, 2-4 FT, 8 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 1 TO
Mohammed played well as Tyson Chandler was out with an ankle injury. Continue to use him while he starts.

Nenad Krstic, Oklahoma City Thunder

24 MIN, 13 PTS, 6-10 FG, 1-1 FT, 10 REB, 2 AST, 2 BLK, 1 TO
Nenad simply hasn’t been very very effective. Until he can put up consistent numbers, only use him in daily transaction leagues.

DeJuan Blair, San Antonio Spurs

26 MIN, 8 PTS, 4-6 FG, 12 REB, 3 AST, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 3 TO
Blair played well, but still isn’t a consistent option.

Antonio McDyess, San Antonio Spurs

18 MIN, 14 PTS, 7-8 FG, 6 REB, 1 STL, 1 TO
I’m afraid that what McDyess brings to the table doesn’t translate to fantasy hoops.

Hakim Warrick, Milwaukee Bucks

31 MIN, 23 PTS, 8-16 FG, 7-10 FT, 5 REB, 2 AST, 1 BLK
Simply not getting the opportunity to become a viable fantasy option on a nightly basis.

Wesley Matthews, Utah Jazz

34 MIN, 16 PTS, 6-9 FG, 3-5 FT, 1 3PM, 7 REB, 3 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 4 TO
He has 14 rebounds in his past two games, but he still shouldn’t be owned at this point.

Shannon Brown, Los Angeles Lakers

28 MIN, 15 PTS, 6-12 FG, 1-2 FT, 1 3PM, 7 REB, 1 AST
It was a double-overtime game and Ron Artest was out. Pay no mind.

Donte Greene, Sacramento Kings

31 MIN, 16 PTS, 6-12 FG, 2-2 FT, 2 3PM, 5 REB, 1 AST, 3 STL, 2 BLK, 2 TO
Double-OT game bloated his stats.

Omri Casspi, Sacramento Kings

32 MIN, 15 PTS, 5-14 FG, 4-6 FT, 1 3PM, 10 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO
Casspi continues to play well and should be owned in all deeper leagues.
