SpartyMSU's BigTen BBall Rankings: Dec. 26, 2009

Last week’s summary: The end of the non Big Ten season approaches faster than Spartan Slap shot.  So a quick summary of last weeks games before Christmas, and let you know who everyone plays next.

Michigan State:  Played Texas at Texas. From what I saw; played well as a team until the last 5 minutes or so.  But, Kalin was unusually off his game.  A couple out of character bad passes and shots. Spartans were out shot – only 44 %, out rebounded, and made 22 turnovers..  If that’s not a recipe for a loss while visiting the #2 team’s home court, I don’t know what is…   Surprising really, since they have the talent, and skills…

This week: University of Texas – Arlington.. SpartyMSU will be at the game..

Purdue:  Beat  SIU-Edwardsville. Who ? You may say… I have got no clue who this team is, or where they are from … So, not an quality win, but another win none the less.  Still looks like the team to beat in the Big Ten..
Next up: Starts the Big Ten Season on Dec. 29 with Iowa.

Wisconsin:   Except for a late first half , with 7 min. to go. If not for this, the Badgers might have lost to the Milwaukee Panthers… They will be just so –So, until the later half of the Big Ten season..
Next up: Illinois- Chicago Circle Flames..

Ohio State:   Yawn.. Beat Cleveland State… 
Next Game: Wisconsin on Dec  31…

Illinois:  I was right, a trap game.. Lost to Missouri for the first time in a decade…. That hurt…
Next Up:  Northwester Dec. 30…

Minnesota:  Handily beat South Dakota..
Next: Penn State Dec. 29

Northwestern:   Beat Central Connecticut State..
Next up: At Illinois Dec. 30

Penn State:   Beat American University
Next Up: at Minnesota Dec. 29

Michigan:  Lost to Kansas, Beat Copin State… Can you believe these guys were once rated in the Top 25… not me…   
Next up:  At Indiana Dec. 31.

Indiana: Lost to Loyola, not really a surprise,  
Next up:  Bryant Dec. 28, and Michigan the 31

Iowa: Beat Drake and South Carolina State …..  Surprises for Christmas…
Next up: Dec. 27: Tennessee State, and then a probably loss to Purdue
