In a few days, Heather O'Reilly will be joining her academic mentor and boyfriend Dave as a UNC graduate

Twenty-five-year-old US defender Lori Chalupny has left training camp to return to school at UNC, where she is taking finals in what will be her last semester of college. Chalupny, who, like many WNT players, took considerable time off from school to pursue her soccer career, still has four classes left but will be able to complete them online.

Therefore, her days as an undergraduate are numbered. Congrats Chups! Meanwhile, 24-year-old midfielder Heather O'Reilly is also on the cusp of finishing college. After training camp, she will return to Chapel Hill to finish up the last few days of her student teaching internship, which serves as her final semester towards her Education major.

O'Reilly has been assisting seventh grade social studies at Phillips Middle School, where we hear Miss O'Reilly is one of the most popular teachers. The kids are even planning a party for her on her last day.

O'Reilly is the latest WNT player to finish her education despite the tremendous time commitment and travel that it takes to play for your country, a commitment that has seen O'Reilly play in four World Championships since 2002. To commemorate O'Reilly's graduation, she came up with the Top 10 reasons it's cool to graduate from college.
