In their second match up against their rival, the Ny Rangers did not show up to play as the NY Islanders abuse the Blue shirts.

Over all a boring game, the Islanders did enough to shut down the Rangers for their 5th loss in a row. Was this a surprise or pretty much a give me?

The only Ranger who showed any kind of fire was Sean Avery, as he had a scuffle with Islanders goalie Dwayne Roloson after Roloson slashed him. Other then that the Rangers should have just stayed home.

In the first period the Rangers were held to only 3 shots on goal. They were out checked and their fore checking was invisible.

Henrik Lundqvist has major issues that not to many people dare to talk about. That issue is he has not been able to stop shots that are high and glove side. I can see if it was high stick side but either way it is a problem and it will only get worse.

They second period the Blue Shirts tried to get more physical but to no prevail. Out shooting the Islanders 12-10 but unable to score.

They Rangers defense was just as invisible as the offense as once again Redden in out of position behind the Rangers net, and allows Jon Sim to score right in front of Hank. This guy is a total bum. But Tortorella will continue to play him.

The Rangers managed to score one goal. It wasn’t from a shot from Gaborik, or Drury , or Higgins or Kotalik. You know the Guys that play 20 minutes a game. It came from Enver Lisin who hardly seen the ice again.

In fact the best line was Anisimov , Boyle and Lisin. But yet once again, they hardly play. Tortorella sends down Matt Gilroy to Hartford , Gilroy played at least 18 minutes a game and here they are not playing his replacement. Again Heikkinen only play 9 minutes. The good for nothing Michal Rozsival again breaks the 22 minute mark. Boyle only plays 6 1/2 minutes and he was one of the better players. Why is this such an issue that a head coach can not see who is playing good and who isn’t.

Anisimov and Lisin combined play less the 17 minutes. If Tort is not gonna play them , then he might as well send them down for someone who will play. It is not like these players or playing badly or making the mistakes. It is not the rookies but the vets who are making all the terrible mistakes and taking all the bad penalties and the coach is to dam blind to see anything.

Henrik played a good game. He saved 26 shots on goal as the Islanders pressured constantly for 60 minutes. Was anyone able to count how many times the Rangers missed the net completely. Amateur night at the Garden.

We can not just place blam on the coach. Yes it is his fault for not playing some of these guys that game after game play superb when they are on the ice. Especially after the first period where the first 2 lines played like they just woke up. But it is the Players fault for coming out on the ice and not playing at all.

Gaborik has played 25 Higgins 22 minutes. Did they even play good? No they didn’t. wanna talk about wearing down a player. Every game Gabby is at that mark. 25 minutes. Henrik has played every game for the last 10 games. What can it hurt to play Hikkenin more. Is Tort rellay expecting Redden and Rosy to do anything. If so then he is even worse the I say he is. Ikkla has not even played a minute on the pp and he is supposed to be an offensive defenseman.

What a joke this team has become. Starting with management all the way down . Sather needs to step in now and really evaluate this team and coaches. Forget this season, lets talk about next season. Can we save a season that is destined for disaster with Tort running it!
