According to , Antonio Rogerio "Minotoro" Nogueira has been forced to pull out of his UFC 109 fight with Brandon "The Truth" Vera, citing a fractured ankle.

Once again, the UFC appears to be plagued by a serious outbreak of the injury bug, but according to a recent post on Vera's Facebook page, which was later deleted, an equally great fight might be taking place on a later date.

"just found out I'm firing Jon Bones Jones on March 21st in Denver Colorado," said Vera. "hope u heard it here first!!!!"

Being a successful UFC fighter in a hectic social networking world, we can only assume Vera meant to type fighting as opposed to firing, considering that despite the loss, Jones is coming off of a very dominating performance.

Despite all of that, a matchup with Jon "Bones" Jones would offer up a very dynamic striking affair, as well as an interesting clinch attack from both fighters. While their styles are vastly different, they also mesh together really well in what could also be a very patient, strategic fight.

As of now, this is all speculation as there is no officially announced event taking place in Denver, Colorado, on March 21. But the UFC does like to put together Ultimate Fight Nights out of the blue.

This could be an extremely exciting match that would most certainly generate a lot of buzz on any card, and with the Versus Network announcing that they will be airing two live UFC events in the year 2010, a fight of the Vera vs. Jones caliber would be perfect headlining material for the UFC's debut on the network.

Will this potentially amazing matchup come to fruition?

Will the UFC make it's return to the city where it all began?

Only time will tell, but this author will tell you that he is extremely excited, just with the possibility of it all.
