Game 26: Blazers vs. Kings, 7:00 p.m. KGW

I'd like to think that our point guards are good enough to beat the Kings group at home. But it's close with the way Steve Blake has played lately and the incredible play of the rookie Tyreke Evans (20 ppg, 5 rpg, 5 apg).

With that kind of production and a quality backup in Udrih, the Blazers have their work cut out for them. Rumor has it that Andre Miller may start tonight, if so, excellent, but it's still tough.

Kings take it.

It's in Brandon Roy's hands tonight, as far as getting Portland a win to stop the bleeding. Donte Greene, his opponent, isn't much of a threat offensively, but he's a big body who will cause Roy to settle for jumpers.

It doesn't matter though, Roy will have a big game, somewhere around 30+ in front of the home crowd. The game will be closer than it should be and Brandon will shut the door on this victory.

Nocioni still seems to be adjusting to the Kings offense, but when he wants to be, he's a dangerous player. Not to mention his backup, Omri Casspi, who has had a nice rookie season and is showing great improvement.

I think Martell will contribute, but not enough to best the tandem from Sacramento. Besides Tyreke Evans, Nocioni and Casspi could be our biggest problems.

LaMarcus Aldridge broke out in a big way on Saturday against Milwaukee. His 31 points and 11 rebounds were just what the doctor ordered for his individual game. He needs to put that effort to work in a winning contest, like tonight.

Jason Thompson for the Kings is no slouch. In his second season he is already averaging 15 points and 9 rebounds per game. He's picking up steam lately and seems like the right fit at power forward for the Kings. I still like LA at home.

Portland is going to need a solid effort from Joel Przybilla tonight. He has the task of shutting down the rangy Spencer Hawes.

Hawes is a capable scorer but seems to dip in and out, from a production stand-point. I just noticed that on two days rest, he's only scoring 7.4 points per game. Shoot, Joel can beat that, in fact I think Joel will hold him in check in a big way.

Blazers win this game at home!
