Kamar Aiken Shines in Three Years at UCF: Star Player Bios

Kamar Aiken is a 6-2, 213-pound wide receiver from Miami's Chaminade-Madonna High School. Listed as No. 81 on the field, Aiken played his junior year at Central Florida in 2009 and racked up 545 yards on 32 receptions with seven touchdowns in the regular season.

High school is where Aiken began to shine, as he earned Class 2A All-State Honors as a defensive back by the Florida Sports Writers Association his senior year. He made sixty tackles and had five interceptions in his career.

He also combined for 15 touchdowns and 1,000 yards rushing and receiving on offense. In his junior and senior year, Aiken received Miami Herald All-Broward County First-Team honors as a defensive back.

In his first year at UCF as a true freshman, No. 81 set UCF freshman records for catches, yards and touchdowns. Against ECU in 2007, Aiken teamed up with A.J. Guyton to become the first duo to deliver touchdown passes in the same game since 1996. On the year, he had five touchdowns, 584 yards and 33 receptions.

Sophomore year was also successful for Aiken. He had a catch in seven of nine games played, was second on the team in catches and yards, and recorded a season-best five receptions for 63 yards versus Southern Miss during their 2008 match-up. The year as a whole saw Aiken have one touchdown for 244 yards and 20 receptions.

The wide receiver is majoring in criminal justice, is ranked as the 51st best prospect in the state of Florida by Orlando Sentinel, and is ranked No. 110 nationally on the ESPN 150. Aiken was also recruited by Florida State, Minnesota, N.C. State and South Carolina.
