The Buffalo Bills have been a team lacking competitiveness since Doug Flutie was behind center. They have shown spots of heart and spots of promise in single games, but for the last ten years they have not shown a winning team.
The Bills quarterback situation has been a question mark at best for the last few seasons, using Kelly Holcomb, J.P. Losman, Trent Edwards, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. Believe it or not, the Bills have some explosive players on offense, specifically Fred Jackson (who finally was put into the spotlight while Marshawn Lynch was suspended), Lee Evans, Roscoe Parrish and Terrell Owens.
As we all know, Tim Tebow is going to be at a crossroads concerning how he will be used in the NFL. He would like to be a quarterback, but will play anywhere his team needs him. Unlike most athletes who say this, I actually believe him. I cannot see Tebow becoming a selfish player anytime soon.
The Bills should draft Tebow and use him at the quarterback position. However, they should change their team to play more of a college offense. Using the option and wildcat could work well for a team that has Tebow as the QB and a mix of Jackson and Lynch at HB.
If the Bills go with this plan, don't expect Terrell Owens to come back. Evans and Parrish are all they need to succeed at the WR position.
Tim Tebow would bring hope, confidence, and sheer will power to both a team and a city needing it. Tebow is exactly the kind of player Buffalo fans would rally behind. He would be a hero before his first game.
Realistically, nobody sees Tebow going in the first round. I'd like to see Bills use their (most likely) top 7 pick to grab someone like Russell Okung or Derrick Morgan. Using their 2nd pick on Tebow is safe and could potentially catapult the franchise somewhere they haven't been in years, the playoffs.
