I have been thinking about the past and now I am comparing it too the future. The issue I am comparing is the way superstars used to make it too the too of the mountain and how they did it in a memorable fashion.
Not like the superstars of today though. They even debuted better. Do you remember Chris jericho's WWE debut? you do it was memorable. Do you remember johnny nitro's debute? Probably not. Do you remember john cena's debut? probably... Do you remember Kingston debut. Maybe. All of these future maineventers the WWE plans for use never have great memorable debuts that you can look back on in a few years and say wow..
The way they build them up is becoming utterly boring also. That may just be because of the PG era but my point stands. Superstars are suppose to have that breakout feud with a main event wrestler for the title even. Even if they lose it adds to there credibility and if they win they become a true maineventer if built up correctly.
Honestly its all about the quality of matches the feud and the mic skill. currently we have superstars feuding about cars? We have them feuding about getting put through a table? We even have them feuding for being hit with a steel chair? That's boring what happen to the controversy and the rage. Where it would be a feud over women a good feud over women or being hit by a car or even having your dad punted in the skull.
The PG era is slowly destroying the wwe and its fan base. Its even making it more difficult for new stars too grow through exciting rivalries. The last time I saw the creative team build up stars in the best way was wrestlemania 21.
what do you think
