Week 14 NFL Point Spread Winners

Thomas MorelandDec 10, 2009

Big Ben must get it together on Thursday night or risk missing the playoffs, in the Super Bowl jinx, where the last season's winner does not make the playoffs.

The Steelers are favored by 10 in Cleveland, and will bounce back to get to 7-6 with a win by two touchdowns or more.

New Orleans is favored by 10.5 over Atlanta, who may be without Michael Turner and Matt Ryan. This was going to be a close game until this fact came to light. With that news, I will take New Orleans to cover.

Green Bay visits Chicago with a firm grip on one of the NFC wild card spots. Chicago has not enough on offense or defense this season. Take the Packers on a mission. Three points is easy.

Indianapolis is at home and favored by seven over Denver. Denver seems good enough to keep this close. Still, I like the Colts to cover this at home. I am still not drinking the Orton Kool-Aid.

I like Matt Cassell to beat Buffalo and get something going for next season for Kansas City.

Minnesota is favored by 6.5 over Cincinnati in the Metrodome. Tough to figure this one, but less than a touchdown to cover, let's say Brett is still plenty strong enough to handle the Bengals.

New England must get back on track this week with a win over Carolina. Thirteen-and-a-half is a big number, but Carolina won't have much offense in this game. You have to take the Patriots at home in this one.

The Jets will be without Sanchez and must keep Josh Freeman down in this game or they will lose. I will take Tampa Bay at home this week, plus the three points.

Jacksonville is on a roll and must keep it going against Miami, who also needs to win. This is going to be a real good game. The Jags are favored by 2.5. You could flip a coin on this one, but I'll take the Jags to get it done for a trip to the playoffs.

The Ravens should handle Detroit and the 13.5 points they have to win by. The Ravens will be toast if they do not win this one.

Houston has a home game with Seattle and only needs to cover six. Houston has faded quickly from playoff talk and is now struggling to stay at .500. Still, Matt Schaub should have enough offense to handle Seattle easily.

Tennessee has the Rams and is favored by 13.5. Seems like a lot, but this is the Rams we're talking about. Take the Titans and give the points.

Washington visits the Raiders and I am using the Raiders defense in a couple of fantasy playoff teams this week. Raiders will win this at home with defense.

I like San Diego to beat Dallas and continue the December slide for the Cowboys. You get three points with San Diego and they might win outright.

The Giants will beat Philadelphia to tighten that division up and it will come down to the last week for the NFC East. The Giants win in a one-point spread deal.

Arizona is in San Francisco favored by three over the Niners. Arizona is really playing well and should win this one, as San Francisco just isn't quite ready for primetime yet.

Good luck in all your games and have a great weekend.
