Tiger Woods Needs a Hideaway, but His Isn't Ready Yet

Tom EdringtonDec 1, 2009

Tiger Woods is hiding.

He's hiding big time; he simply wants to disappear from sight.

He needs a hideaway. He needs to get out of Orlando, and he intends to.

Only catch is, his "hideaway" isn't quite ready.

While Tiger disappears into the bomb shelter deep beneath his Isleworth home and hunkers down to avoid the polluting fallout from his Thanksgiving misadventures, they're still working on his Jupiter Island digs.

They've been working for quite some time. He assembled 12 acres on ritzy Jupiter Island almost four years ago, shelling out in the neighborhood of $44 million. Tore down the old house and is building a 10,000 square-foot, two story palace complete with guest house, boat house, and a guard house. He might want to rethink the guard house. It probably needs to be a LOT larger.

Tiger might also want to rethink his new location. You see, his house is just a short drive from the headquarters for the National Enquirer , just to the south in Lantana, FL.

The gossip pages of the Palm Beach Post are eagerly awaiting his arrival. And gossip is a way of life in Palm Beach, and it will reach north to Jupiter Island, count on it.

Greg Norman has kept the fires burning up there but now it's time to pass the torch to Tiger.

Yes, Tiger is hiding BIG TIME.

Tells the world he can't play in his foundation's biggest fundraiser this week due to injuries from his fender-bender.

Are you kidding?

This is the excuse from a guy who played in and won a U.S. Open on a broken leg and torn ACL!

That's how bad he wants to hide.

He's blowing off his own foundation!

So down into the bomb shelter he goes.

He's betting this all blows over, betting it all goes away.

Best of luck to you Tiger.

And while you're at it, you might try some aloe-vera lotion for those scratches.
