2012: The Liverpool FC Version.....
Many of you movie goers may recently have endured James Cameron's latest attempt at destroying the world in the the movie 2012.
This is based on the Mayan prophecy that claimed the world would cease to be, sometime in 2012. The Mayan prediction is one of many predictions of the world coming to the end, many of which you willl have heard about.....
What may have escaped you however, is a number of prophecies revealed in a Liverpool Vs Stoke programme from 1975. These horrible revelations speak of a number of happenings that will spell the end of Liverpool football club.....
The first of these signs comes from the Bible and tells us of a 4 horseman type group so terrifying, that the world would be unable to stop them. Experts analysing recent performances of Lucas Leiva, Ryan Babel, Andriy Voronin and Andrea Dossena confirm that these 4 footballers may just be terrible enough to cause the end of Liverpool football club, even the world.
The second prophecy was also first revealed in the bible. It tells of a great plague that will rid the world of life. This may be a slight exaggeration, though injuries to Torres, Gerrard, Aquilani, Aurelio, Bennayoun, Riera, Agger, Skrtel, Ian Rush and Bruce Grobbelaar suggest otherwise.
A Nostradamus prophecy in the 16th century spoke of two great towers being demolished from above. This was obviously tragically realized in 2001, however the sight of the once formidable Jamie Carragher and Martin Skrtel suddenly being terrorized by every corner, free kick, thrown in or backpass, suggests the prophecy may have had multiple meanings.
Nostradamus also told of a moustached general leading his army on a course of destruction throughout Europe... Here we might have some salvation, as Rafa Benitez, with his ridiculous facial hair, has seemingly failed to conquer Europe (for one year at least).... Not unless you count what they are surely going to do to the likes of Fulham and Sturm Gratz in the Europeuefacupwinnersintertotofairschallenge cupleaguecup.
So there you have it.... The oldern day mystic experts predicted the end of the world just like modern day experts have predicted the end of Liverpool as a footballing team at all. There is nothing else to say... Liverpool are doomed, finished, a mere memory on the footballing world.
Or maybe they are unbeaten in 5 games and only two points of third place, without once having played their strongest team this season, let alone had the opportunity to play it consistently.
Funny how some experts opinions turn out to be complete and utter rubbish isn't it....
We shall see....
