Before we get started, let’s take a look at the Week Five NBA schedule to help you set your fantasy rosters (click here for article). Now, here’s a look at some fantasy basketball players that blew up the box score last night.
Terence Williams, New Jersey Nets
31 MIN, 17 PTS, 6-15 FG, 2-3 FT, 3 3PM, 3 REB, 3 AST, 1 TO
Williams had a nice scoring total, but his shooting was dreadful.
Darren Collison, New Orleans Hornets
34 MIN, 22 PTS, 8-13 FG, 4-4 FT, 2 3PM, 2 REB, 11 AST, 5 TO
This was Collison’s first monster game. He continues to be a solid Chris Paul replacement.
Marcus Thornton, New Orleans Hornets
26 MIN, 21 PTS, 9-16 FG, 1-1 FT, 2 3PM, 3 REB, 1 STL
Bobby and Devin Brown haven’t really stepped up their game with CP3 out. It’s been Collison and Thornton all the way.
Charlie Bell, Milwaukee Bucks
40 MIN, 19 PTS, 7-15 FG, 0-2 FT, 5 3PM, 1 REB, 2 AST, 1 STL, 2 TO
Nice game for Bell, but he hasn’t been consistent enough to add.
Luke Ridnour, Milwaukee Bucks
33 MIN, 13 PTS, 6-12 FG, 1-2 FT, 4 REB, 12 AST, 1 STL
Ridnour has played very well of late.
Omri Casspi, Sacramento Kings
36 MIN, 17 PTS, 6-15 FG, 4-4 FT, 1 3PM, 8 REB, 1 AST, 1 STL, 1 TO
Casspi has talent but is too inconsistent at this point.
Joel Pryzbilla, Portland Trail Blazers
21 MIN, 14 PTS, 5-10 FG, 4-6 FT, 11 REB, 2 BLK
Nice game, but I wouldn’t put too much stock in it since it was against the Wolves.
Steve Blake, Portland Trail Blazers
29 MIN, 14 PTS, 5-7 FG, 4 3PM, 4 REB, 9 AST, 1 TO
The same could be said about Blake since it was the Wolves, but he has actually played better of late.
