Oakland O Line Vs Bengals D line

RT Cornell Green Vs Robert Geathers

Career journeyman Cornell green has started 84 games in his career and appears to have the edge against the one season wonder Robert Geathers. Geathers has been consistently mediocre since the 2006 season of 10.5 sacks. While I give Geathers great credit for keeping Big Ben in the Pocket all game against Pittsburgh, I believe the Raiders with the help of Zack Miller will take great advantage of him in the running game. I think Green will kick out Geathers on the powers to Bush and I think Miller will have his way with Geathers on the stretch plays and tosses to Mcfadden. Bottom Line - Green and Miller will dominate Geathers all day. No chance of a Sack

C Samson Satele vs DT Domato Peko

Peko's relentless style of play and ability to chase down the line will wear out Satele who simply does not display the same motor. Satele is very strong at the point of attack and I expect him to neutralize Peko in all pass situations as Peko simply is not a pass rusher. Peko has O pass rushing moves and is at his best chasing ball carriers and putting up huge tackle numbers for a nose. Expect Gratkowski to be able to step up in the pocket and also expect Peko to make the majority of the tackles for the d line in the running game.

DT Pat Sims vs LG Robert Gallery

This is an interesting matchup as Sims (6 2 325 Lbs) will have a lot of leverage on Gallery 6 7 325. While neither are weight room strong, they both use their bodies very well whether Gallery pulling on a counter or Sims getting penetration. Given Sims trouble locating the football and consistent motor, I do not think he is going to win the matchup against Gallery. Gallery will handle Sims in pass protection, and I think Gallery's a much better conditioned athlete and will simply wear out Sims. Sims will win some battles but Gallery will win the war.

DE Jonathan Fanene vs LT Mario Henderson

Fanene is playing as good as any defensive end as of late. 5 sacks in his last 5 games and is extremely distruptive. At 6 4 292 Fanene is also stout against the run and lacks any real weakness in his game. In third down scenarios, I think Henderson will get a lot of help from either Bush or Vargas because their is no need to chip Geathers.  Fanene is no Jared Allen and will be very ineffective double teamed. Do not expect Henderson to bully Fanene in the running game because he will force everything in Dhani and Peko. Fanene will be neutralized in the pass game but will hold the edge in the running game. 0 Sacks

The Bengals will not be able to get a good pass rush and Zimmer will start blitzing Brandon Johnson, and Maualuga leaving Zack Miller, Bush, Vargas, Mcfadden with underneath and screen possibilities.

Maualuga and Brandon Johnson will each get a sack because of the frequent second half blitzing
