Saturday following the Nationwide Series race at Phoenix International Raceway, Denny Hamlin promised to retaliate against Brad Keselowski at next week's final race of the season Homestead-Miami.

Keselowski got into Hamlin late in the race spinning him around. If you recall this isn't the first time these two have had trouble. This is actually the 3 time in the last 9 races the two have had issues with one another.

After the race once Keselowski got out of the car and reporters stormed him he said he didn't see a need for retalitation. “Denny got in the back of me and pushed me up the track and I was going to return the favor,” Keselowski said. “When he did it to me, I saved it, and when I did it to him, he didn’t save it. We just got in a pushing match. I don’t really hold any grudges. I don’t know why he wanted to do that. It’s just the way racing is, I guess.”

Nationwide Series Director Joe Balash immediately stepped in to make sure no such thing would happen next week.

Why is NASCAR on a mission to kill a good rivalry? This is the ONE good thing we have going for the sport right now and NASCAR is completely killing it. With all this Jimmie Johnson Show crap us NASCAR fans need a little spark to keep us entertained. Back in the day nobody ever stopped the rivalries. My guess is NASCAR enjoys killing the sport... I mean compared to Daytona to now NASCAR's ratings have dropped like a rock. From my calculations it's around half a million fans not watching anymore. It's not  just because Jimmie Johnson is dominating and on his way to a 4th consecutive Championship. It's because NASCAR is driving the cars for the drivers. Mandating so many parts and pieces it's taken the fun out of racing. It bothers me to think about where the future of NASCAR is headed at this rate... it really does.
