Cowboys Still Not Getting The Respect They Deserve

The 6-2 Cowboys come into Week 10 with the 3rd ranked offense and the 20th ranked defense in the NFL. They are coming off of a 4-game win streak since going 2-2 to start the season. This Cowboys team has been fighting an uphill battle against critics, media, and even some fans who still don't believe this team is really that good. In fact, since their recent success people are still doubting this team's credibility by the amount of talent they have faced and beaten this season. I guess its safe to say that the true believers of the Cowboys are the Cowboys themselves.

The most intriguing fact about this team is that people are still determining the success of this team based on last year. We have heard the TO stories and comparisons to Roy Williams. The lack of production and so forth. We have heard that Tony Romo is Mr. November but not December or January. We have heard that Romo is 0-2 in the playoffs and that begs a bigger question. "Can the Cowboys win a playoff game with Romo ever ?" " Can they win a big game in December or January ?"

 The 2009 season starts and ends with the 2009 Cowboys. Reflecting on past mistakes and shortcomings does not get you anywhere in the NFL. In this league a team must have amnesia and move on from week to week in order to improve. And if I have seen anything from this team it is constant improvement. From week one to now this team has improved ever part of its game drastically. From special teams to offense and defense this team has only gotten better. I've said this numerous times in previous posts, the teams that are successful and make it to the playoffs and Super Bowl are teams who have the most momentum. Which usually starts in the middle of the season. IE New York Giants of 2007. This Cowboys team certainly has that right now and I wouldnt' be surprised if they continue to carry that to the end of the season silencing Romo critics and December woes.
