BUI is playing a little tight this week. The more shi smack I talk, the worse the Dawgs play. I need this one bad—real bad. I hate Auburn with a passion and I am surrounded in my life by confused plains people. That being said, I am keeping the smack on deposit, letting a little interest accrue, and will let it fly when the time is right. Here’s a few links to get you through lunch.

The latest Mumme Poll is out. My poll matched up with the exception of No. 12, but I cannot argue with Okie State.

“Catfish & Cornbread” is shopping for a new defensive coordinator assuming Willie Martinez gets fired . Ron Zook is on the list, but that should not taint the other coaches. The name that I keep hearing is Dick Bumpas. With the opening at FS, and a possible one at UGA, it is not a bad time to be Dick Bumpas, or his agent.

As the Auburn game approaches, ucheedawg recalls the original “blackout”.

Shortly after the Battle Hymn rung out through Sanford Stadium, anticipation was at it’s pinnacle. I remember a good friend of mine saying, rather slurred I might add, that if the Dawgs ran out in black jerseys he would lose his mind. What followed was sheer madness.

The Senator reminds us this game is important to both teams. He breaks it down with something about turnover margin being the key. Very unsettling.

Bernie thinks the Dawgs need to loosen up if we are going to handle our rivals and improve our bowl standing. Agreed.

This is a story that could be written every year . Auburn is always loaded with Peach State talent.

If the game is close and comes down to a late field goal, both teams have to like their chances .
