Five Fights I Want To See Before I Die

Well all of the Star Wars (tm) movies have come out. I saw both the Giants and the Yankees win Championships. Therefore there are naturaly only two things left to see in my life. One is the Knicks win a championship. I would also like to see the following fights before I kick that bucket.

Normally I wouldn't publish an article with any of the following words; I, me, my, mine, myself, or Marco (as in the third person, heh). This piece is an exception in that it is purely about what I, Me, Myself, etc want and nothing more.

Well, maybe not "nothing" more because I have a strong feeling you, yours, yourself, etc... might also find these matchups intriguing.

#1 Bader vs Hamill

While at first glance this might seem like a pure wrestling/grappling match, the truth is that most of their skills would cancel each other out making it a standup war. Hamill, clearly the better wrestler, would ensure this because of his penchant for throwing punches.

Bader is no joke. That being said I think this fight would go to Hamil based on superior skills. Bader might have an edge in conditioning, but Hamill is much, much stronger.

#2 Wanderlei Silva vs Michael Bisping

Sorry but I dont think Hendo dished out enough damage on Bisping. The fact that Bisping can still form a coherent sentence is evidence enough that he needs a few more blows to the head.

Seriously, Hederson was NICE to Bisping. Wandy would give Michael the beating he truly deserves.

#3 Alistair Overeem vs Cain Valasquez

Yeah I know you like that one.

I just can't seem to get this fight out of my head. I think it would be a barnburner, but we probably will never know. With Overeem fighting outside of the UFC, only a signing would enable a fight with Cain.

I just think it would be a great fight. Both men are excellent grapplers. I would guess that Cain would KO or TKO Overeem at some point during the fight, but its no guarantee.

#4 Wanderlei Silva vs Vitor Belfort 2

A lot of you have seen the first fight. I'm not sure Wandy was ready, heh. I think a second fight between them-to see who could fight Marquardt for the title shot-would be a blast. I think we were all cheated the first time.

What should have been a great fight turned into a one sided debacle. No one is absolutely sure if Wandy was hurt in that fight. It ended so fast no one could tell. A second matchup between the two would answer a lot of questions.

#5 Cabbage vs Herring

In one last hurrah from the brawlers-I would like to see these guys go at it. I can only imagine what might result. One thing is for sure-they would beat the ever living blank out of each other. No Doubt.

Both men are capable of absorbing immense amounts of damage. Any fight between them would likely go to a decision, but one filled with full power strikes. Too bad the original rules are not in effect-could you imagine an umlimited times limit, no rounds fight between these two guys?

Five other fights Id like to see?

1. Anderson Silva vs Ikuhisa Minowa

2. Machida vs Shogun Rua 2 (oh lookie lookie I get to actually see that one)

3. Tito Ortiz vs Chuck Lidell 3

4. Joachim Hansen vs BJ Penn (ufc rules or old Pride rules but definately NOT Dream)

5. Brock Lesnar vs Fedor Emelianenko (never going to happen but it would put that question to rest once and for all)

In any event those are some of the fights I would like to see, What about you?
