LONDON, ENGLAND - NOVEMBER 04: Cesc Fabregas of Arsenal celebrates scoring his second and the teams the third goal of the game with Samir Nasri during the UEFA Champions League Group H match between Arsenal and AZ Alkmaar at the Emirates Stadium on November 4, 2009 in London, England. Hailed by many as the "new Zizou" and compared by Arsene Wenger to Arsenal legend Robert Pirès, quick and technically outstanding, Samir Nasri announced his arrival at the new club by scoring a goal within 224 seconds of his full debut on a sun-kissed opening day in 2008/09.

And the diminutive playmaker proved he was no flash in the pan throughout his first campaign with the Gunners. In his 29 appearances last season, the Frenchman bagged seven goals, including a scintillating brace against Manchester United to secure a 2-1 victory against the eventual champions.

The fans officially recognised his overall contribution by voting Samir fourth in Arsenal’s official Player of the Season poll.

He was initially signed to replace the Belarus midfielder Alexander Helb and proved a more than worthy replacement for the Belarus midfielder.

Samir racked up 25 successful dribbles, far more than any other player in the Arsenal squad, and was Arsenal’s top scorer outside the striking unit.

However, Samir’s preparation for an exciting second season was curtailed during Arsenal’s preseason tour of Austria.

The 22-year-old suffered a fractured fibula in training and it was originally forecast that he would miss the season’s opening “two to three” months.

After his comeback in the match against AZ, where he also scored a goal, he looks fit again to give his services for Arsenal and will be a great acid.

With his return and current form of the Gunners, it’s looking clear that Arsene’s claim of winning a trophy this season are looking clearer.

Here, I’ll look at the positions where he can play for the Gunners.

Playing in Central Mid with Fabregas and Rosicky

The first role he can be given of playing with Fabregas and Rosicky in the midfield, which will bring balance to the side as it will look like this:

-Rosicky -----------------Fabregas----------------Nasri

Playing as a CDM

He can also be given the role of CDM instead of Song, making our lineup like this:

-----------------------Almunia/Mannone-----------------------
Sagna-------Gallas------------------Vermaelen-----Clichy/Gibbs
--------------------------Nasri --------------------------------
--------------Fabregas------------- Rosicky--------------
Arshavin-----------------Bendtner--------------------------RVP
