It’s a cold night in Georgia with the temps in the thirties.  Last weekend raised concerns about the future of the Georgia Bulldogs and, as I predicted, it’s been a long week for Coach Richt knowing he has to make changes to his staff.

Auburn redeemed their coach with a big victory over Ole Miss, and Tennessee moved up the ladder with an impressive win over the Gamecocks.

This week, Urban Meyer and Nick Saban will try to defend their undefeated records.  Steve Spurrier is in a defensive posture trying to change his November woes.  If the Gamecocks lose, Spurrier finishes another season 6-6 which keeps the Columbia radio shows busy.

Last week was upset Saturday and I took a beating (4-3) along with most odds makers.  I’m 55-14 for the season which puts me at 80 percent in predicting SEC football games.

Here are my SEC Picks for Week 10:

SEC Game of the Week:  No. 3 Alabama vs No. 9 LSU in Tuscaloosa

This game will once again be the SEC West Championship game.

This game holds BCS implications and most likely will determine who represents the West in the SEC Championship Game.  Last year, the Tide won 27-21 in OT.

Alabama has had a week off to prepare and heal.  LSU played Tulane which helped the Tigers find a rhythm. LSU is starting to peak and Alabama seems like they can be beaten under the right circumstances.  Playing in Tuscaloosa helps the Tide.  This game goes until the final horn.

'Bama Rolls 21-17.

SEC West vs SEC East:  Arkansas vs South Carolina in Fayetteville

This game could be the biggest game for Coach Steve Spurrier this year, looking to break through a 6 win season.  An SEC win on the road puts the Gamecocks on a better track and in a position for a decent bowl.

An SC loss repeats a 6-6 season which won’t be welcome in the Palmetto State.  SC has not played great on the road.

Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallet can light it up and this one should have some fireworks.

Arkansas wins 35-31.

SEC East Game of the Week:  No. 1 Florida vs Vanderbilt in the Swamp

The Gators continue to be undefeated with a big win over the Georgia Bulldogs.  The Gators have already clinched the SEC East.

Vandy gave Georgia Tech fits for three quarters.  Vandy will be aggravating but not strong enough to put up a win.

Gators win 35-16 .

Auburn vs Furman on the Plains

The Tigers win big as they prepare for a road trip to Athens to play the Georgia Bulldogs.

Tigers 42-10.

Georgia vs Tennessee Tech in Athens

Rough week for Coach Richt.  The Bulldogs get a much needed break against a weaker opponent.  It will be interesting to see which Georgia quarterbacks gets playing time. An easy win will help the Dawgs going into the final stretch.

Georgia wins 35-7.

Kentucky vs Eastern Kentucky in Lexington

The Wildcats win big this weekend.

Once again, the Cats are in position to go to a bowl game at the end of the season if they can pick up a win against Georgia, Vandy, or Tennessee.

'Cats win at home 35-9.

Tennessee vs Memphis in Knoxville

The Vols had an impressive win over the Gamecocks last week and have raised some eyebrows in the SEC East.

Memphis doesn’t bring much to the table at 2-6 in Conference USA.

Vols roll 35-12.

Ole Miss vs Northern Arizona in Oxford

The Rebels win this game and become bowl eligible.

It doesn’t get any easier with Tennessee, LSU and an improved Miss State on deck.

Rebels win 42-6 .

This week, I will be in Tuscaloosa to see the SEC West Championship.  I don’t foresee any upsets for Saturday.  The closest thing to a shoot out will probably be in Fayetteville where the Gamecocks could pull out a squeaker.  Should be another perfect weekend for SEC football.

Until next time, I will see you on the ball field.
