Allen Iverson has had a great career as a give me the ball player in the NBA. No one would have seen him not getting on a better team than the woeful Memphis Grizzles. He has been said to be a cancer and someone who could never play off the bench.

Allen was traded from the Nuggets about as quickly as he showed up to a Pistons team that thought they had everything they needed to make the playoffs. With Iverson and all his skills coming off the bench there was no way the Pistons wouldnt be in contention. But he opened his mouth and started tearing down the management so they moved him to the starting lineup above key player Rip Hamilton. This as we all know was a horrible choice on many levels. Rip handled it very well, but Iverson was dumped as soon as the season was over.

In come the Grizzles who decided to pick up Iverson since no one else would and see if they could make a bench player out of him. Most sports pundits figured he would end up in Charlotte with Coach Larry Brown and they were wrong as Charlotte didnt seem to have any intrest in him.

As Iverson has started the season with the Memphis Grizzles its just a matter of time before he starts tearing down this team and demanding to be a starter. Before long they will have to give him a shot or get rid of him.

This leads us to the fact that Iverson could be traded to another team before the trade deadline. As speculated by Micheal Wilbon this team will not be the Bobcats as so many figured it would be. Iverson will go to the Cleveland Cavaliers to support Lebron and Shaq's quest for a title. Iverson has stated that for a championship contender he would gratefully come off the bench and help out in a diminished role. Since Detroit wasnt his cup of tea and Memphis is no where near playoff contention could Cleveland be the answer for "The Answer" to finally get a ring he hasn't been able to get?

Even though the season is young could the Cavs use a talent such as AI in their rotation or even as a starter? Who knows, but one thing is for certain if it was to happen this could very well be Allen Iversons best chance at getting a ring to finish his career.
