Let's Rank 'Em!: The Top 25 NCAA Running Backs Entering Week Ten

David CarterNov 5, 2009

Ryan Mathews remains my top running back in the country for obvious reasons. He averages 7.3 yards per carry, he's crossed the end zone 11 times already, and also averages over 160 rushing yards per game. These are pretty good numbers for a guy who possibly plays the the lest popular team in the state of California. Here's how I see the NCAA's top 25 running backs entering week ten of action:

1. Ryan Mathews (Fresno State): 179 carries, 1,316 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns

2. Bernard Pierce (Temple): 164 carries, 1,033 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns
