Despite if you love them or loathe them one thing is for sure about the Florida Gators, THEY'RE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!  They are everywhere, from rave reviews and compliments to mind-blowing penalty calls and unsportsmanlike conduct.  You can't even turn on the television without seeing "The Beloved Gators" as most of the nation likes to call them on the tube.  The thing about the Gators is, they're on top, when you're on top EVERYONE is going to be looking at you.

The Florida Gators have had some "close-calls" which have made TRUE Gator fans stomach's turn. Even though the Gators are 18-0, an outstanding record in which ANY team in the NCAA would love to boast about, they have not had the year that fans wanted to see.  It has been ugly from the start, from Tebow's concussion and barely squeaking by Tennessee to the more-than-ugly penalty calls that won Florida the game against Arkansas. You could say the Florida Gators are "getting lucky" this year.  I'm a proud Gator fan, born, raised, and graduated myself from the University and will cheer for them through the good and the bad, and this year, despite the record, is BAD!  And when I say BAD, that's exactly what I mean, Tebow has had a less-than impressive year compared to his others(despite beating H. Walker's record!), our offense is struggling, however our defense (despite the injuries and eye-gouging fiascos) and special teams have been what has won almost ALL (and arguably ALL of the conference games) of Florida's games.  I know that the media hates to love Florida, and the rest of the country loves to hate Florida, and even though I bleed orange and blue, I do not believe we are number one, and it makes me sad, because I LOVE being on top, it makes me proud, but what doesn't make me proud is the shady things that Florida has endured both at their fault and not at their fault.  I have come across more than my fair share of biased Florida fans that will say that the penalties against Arkansas were legit, that Spikes did NOT intentionally gouge Ealey's eyes out in revenge, and that Tim Tebow does NOT have excessive celebrations, and it makes me sick.   In ALL honesty, top team in the country in MY opinion (take it for what it's worth) is Texas.

I guess my real question is "Where are the realistic Florida fans?"  the ones that takes the hits that we get and doesn't point fingers??  I'm finding it harder and harder to come across those.  And with that being said with Florida on this tremendous streak that they are on, I'm afraid that it's only going to get worse.  Yes, Florida is on top and Florida fans LOVE to celebrate that, but then this question arises. " If this was your team would you be the same way?"  In all honesty I would say majority would be rather you like to admit it or not.  It's easy to blame those that are on top when your on the bottom.  Everyone is so quick to judge, I wish we could go back 20 years and have that kind of game, when football was football and not a popularity contest.

P.S. Would ANYONE have been making it a big deal over an "eye-gouging" if it was say  Tulane vs UCLA..would it even be media-ised????
