Jamie McMurray won Sundays race ending wreck fest Amp Energy 500 @ Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama, and i thought it was a great race with a very intense battle at the end of the race until the big wrecks within the last 5 laps of the race. Now everyone is giving nascar a hard time on what should've been done, well to be honest everyone is out of options people want to see wrecks, they dont like single file racing and then again nascar has a responsibility to keep the cars on the ground and keep the fans and drivers safe.

In return you cant please everyone and you wont be able to because the track isnt gonna be changed, the plates cant come off because speeds will be way over 230mph and wont be able to control anything that gets in the air at that high speed. So what do you do, we havent really seen the cars get airborne as so much at daytona as we did at talladega this year. I dont think restrictor plate changes in the plates are gonna change anything but here may is a few ideas to look into.

  • Move the grandstands back further or rope off/tape off a certain area or areas of the track grandstands where fans wont be able to sit, and in return add grandstands in different areas. Then let them run as fast as they want, pushing each other whatever.
  • Pave they grass around all the race tracks, when cars get into that grass dry or wet they barrell roll even more and just causes a problem.
  • Smaller fuel cells like a few years ago to kinda break the packs apart reduce the chance of the "big one".
  • The next idea is to do like formula one where everyones on a certain pit stop its gonna be a mess, cars spread out, no partners to draft with and that will at least maybe break them up a little further.

Now these are ideas that have been expressed from everyone and these are about the only ones that we could possibly look into because i think everyone was just scared to get penalized this past weekend at talladega and lose championship points so whos to blame? well see next february as we go to Daytona if there is any changes.
