With another NBA season nearly in the books, I thought I'd take the time and rank the top three players at each position in the league.

Top Three Point Guards

1) Chris Paul

2) Deron Williams

3) Allen Iverson

Top Three Shooting Guards

1) Kobe Bryant

2) Dwyane Wade

3) Manu Ginobili

Top Three Small Forwards

1) Lebron James

2) Paul Pierce

3) Caron Butler

Top Three Power Forwards

1) Tim Duncan

2) Kevin Garnett

3) Amare Stoudemire

Top Three Centers

1) Dwight Howard

2) Yao Ming

3) Chris Kaman

Top 10 Overall Players

1) LeBron James

2) Chris Paul

3) Kobe Bryant

4) Tim Duncan

5) Paul Pierce

6) Kevin Garnett

7) Dwight Howard

8) Amare Stoudemire

9) Deron Williams

10) Yao Ming

I felt like expressing my opinions on who I thought were the best players in the NBA at each position and overall.  I will leave the explanations and arguments to the message boards, as I know there will be blood.

  1. Another bias article drenched in narcissism by a person living in Massachusetts. Paul Pierce couldnt tie Kevin Garnett, Dwight Howard, Amare Stoudemire, Dirk, Nash, Kidd, Vince Carter, or McGrady's shoes. He has won NOTHING B4 KG came in to save the day. How many MVP's does Pierce have? ZERO. There numereous MVP's from those I mentioned that fell below or didnt make the cut at all.
Nash(2), KG(1), Dirk(1) We all get it, you're a Boston fan. Now try writing with your head instead of your heart.

  2. Why do you feel the need to spam all of my articles with mindless babble and accusing me of being biased? What is your point? Do you want to start a comment board war with me? Just because you couldn't come up with a counter-argument for why the Knicks should take Eric Gordon in my draft article, you have to comment on all of my articles now? You want to get into a discussion about basketball with me, be my guest. Just don't spam my articles for the hell of it.

  3. Um...where is the starting PF for the Eastern Conference All Star the last two years in a row? Bosh could be in there EASILY. The other problems I had were AI at the point...when he doesn't even play it anymore...trust me...after the 08-09 season Jose Calderon will be said in the same group as Williams and Paul...Butler is a top 3 SF??Wow...I won't even say anything there. The three spot is difficult since there is so many talented players there...Butler is great...but not top 3 great in my opinion. I'd say slide Chris Kaman out, put Timmy D in the Center spot, and throw CB4 into the PF... Add Josh Smith or Ron Artest to the SF and dump AI for Calderon. Great list!!!

  4. Actually this list is pretty accurate. Tim Duncan is a natural four man and is correctly ranked as the best four man in the league. Shawn Marion or Carmelo Anthony should be in the third spot instead of Caron Butler. I think the third shooting guard spot was a good choice. Manu Ginobili is one of the best shooting guards in the league but some conventionalists might consider putting Ray Allen in that spot as well. As for the point guard, in my opinion, I think Baron Davis should be the second best point guard and Deron Williams the third.
