Creature Vs. Creature Writers Pool: Results After the AMP Energy 500
After a wild and intense race in Talladega, AL, Jamie McMurray picked up his third career win and Jimmie Johnson all but locked up his fourth straight championship.
Johnson brought home a sixth place finish after running in the back of the pack most of the day. His nearest competitors all finished behind him allowing Johnson to expand his point lead to 184 with three races remaining.
Kasey Kahne and Creature pick Joey Logano survived 500 miles to be credited with second and third place finishes. Behind them though, everything was out of control coming to the checkered flag.
After the dust had settled and the results had been sorted out, the biggest names and best cars were scattered all through the field. Because of that our Creature points have a new look as we head to Texas in one week.
