Another anticipating game that many boxer enthusiasts are waiting for, the Manny Pacquaio – Miguel Cotto fight on November 14, 2009 at MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

The Pound for Pound King, Pacman is vying for his 7th title and 7th change in weight class at 147 lbs. Many said that he would have a difficult time with Cotto since Cotto is a solid 147 lbs and hungry for fame since his recent lost with Margarito.

Both of them are training except to the degree of hardships and controversies at their own camps. Miguel Cotto started his hard training from his native land in Puerto Rico and moved to Tampa Florida where he rented a private mansion for his camp. He recently have a disagreement with his former trainer and uncle with which put his family’s harmony at stake. As of the moment, they chose to separate for the peace of all and hired a new trainer. Pacquaio’s camp on the other hand had a petty rivalry within his American back-ups, advicers to be exact. But Manny remained calm even if he wasn’t able to trained well in Baguio City, the Philippines due to the several typhoons that hit the country 3 straight in a row, weeks a part.  He just traveled in Los Angeles to go back to his trainer Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym and concentrate in training.

Both of them are from Top Rank promotions that is why Bob Arum, Top Rank owner would make a lot of money who ever will win the fight. Their promotions were quite expanded this time compared to Pacquaio’s former fights. They flew all over to Puerto Rico to have a press conference and also went to several sport fields in the US to promote their fight.

There’s no question that both contenders have a lot to say and both are very humble but only one man would stand in the rink. Who will it be?
For Filipinos, it would be Manny Pacquiao (the People’s Champ) who would make the crime in zero rate on that day as if the entire Philippines would freeze during the game.  Well, as what words usually Pacman would say – May the best man wins.
