The Gators are back. Tebow is back. The passing game is back. The running game is back. The defense is back. It's all back to 2008 form. The defense got huge takeaways which led to points for the second straight week. Tebow ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more. Both passes were from outside the red zone. Florida looked like Florida again. That can only be bad news for everyone else.
Florida is the one team that scares everybody. Don't think they don't. We've seen too many celebrations in Gainesville for people not to fear us. Even if they think there must be some kind of Gator voodoo going on that is making it impossible for us to lose, they are scared of us. They are scared of Tim Tebow. They are scared of Urban Meyer. 'Bama and Texas fans won't say it out loud, but they've been doing the happy dance at the Gator's struggles the last few weeks. Today, they are both privately saying "Uh-oh".
Looking at the remaining schedule, it does appear that UF will have little trouble keeping it going. Does anyone really believe South Carolina or FSU is going to fare any better than the Dawgs? I don't. I think UF is ready to make the stretch drive now. I think what they've been fighting in mid season was quite honestly, boredom. It happened to the basketball team on their way to their second straight NCAA Title. They clinched the regular season with four games left to go. And they lost three straight. Why? They were ready for the post season to start. The UGA game is sort of the start of the football post season. It's the time of year when championships get within smelling distance. It's when the guys see the finish line.
For all you people sick of seeing the Gators winning crystal trophies, you might want to look away. Because it's looking like it will happen again. Don't say you weren't warned.
