In an article in the Sun on October 31, Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo told the British paper that he thinks that his former teammate at Manchester United, Wayne Rooney, should join Ronaldo at Real Madrid.

In his interview, Ronaldo stated that Rooney should join the league that has players such as Ronaldo, Kaka, and Lionel Messi in La Liga, where Ronaldo believes that Rooney will succeed tremendously in.

Ronaldo also stated that Rooney has shown the world how good of a player he truly is over the last several seasons, and he hopes that Rooney will one day join him at the Bernabeu.

However, Ronaldo also stated that he knows that it would take a lot to move Rooney away from Manchester Untied, where he loves to play, and he is from the Liverpool area, but hopes that Rooney will join him someday.

Over the years when both stars played at the same time for Man United, Manchester United won 69 percent of all of the matches that they played together in, and the two also combined for 124 goals when they played together in just 140 matches.

With this statement, Ronaldo wants Rooney to join the group of Manchester United stars that left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu, which includes players such as David Beckham and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
