So here's the story, the Huskers are bad and they won't amount to much this year.  I've heard it, read it, and listened to it.  Guess what folks, its the same story year in and year out except for those precious years some of us lived through in the '70's and '90's where we played for national championships and won a few.  Satisfying a Cornhusker fan is like having a farmer tell you that he had the perfect amount of rain - It aint never gonna happen!

Where do we go from here?  The 'sKers have got a 4-3 record and have lost the last two at home.

Well let's see....We've pretty much locked up the Sunbelt, played well against a VA Tech team that doesn't look so swell nowadays, and beat Missoo at home.  That's the good!  We didn't show up against a  TX Tech team and fumbled away our chances against Iowa St (which for those of you who need a reminder hadn't beat us at home since '77).

Folks, I'm telling you now to ditch your red and go in to hiding, because the Huskers are no more.  They can't win because the SEC, PAC-10, and Big 12 south teams are just too much!

Okay, that's a little too much so here's how I see the season playing out.  We'll win big against Baylor, lose a tight game to OU, and then beat KU, K-state, and then enjoy turkey sandwiches after winning the Colorado game.

Once the dust has settled, we'll be in the Big 12 Champ game and actually have a chance against Texas.  That's right, we'll play 'em pretty well but just like back in '96 the Horns will avail.

From there, the Huskers will be right on track and go to a pretty decent bowl game. And then in 2010, the farmers will plant crops, the Husker fans will watch the games, yet neither will be completely satisfied with the outcome.
