Where do the Heavyweights from UFC 104 go From Here

After UFC 104 what are the next moves for the Heavyweight competitors from the card. I'll start with the undercard and move to the main card.

First, is the first fight of the night Stefan Struve defeated Chase Gormley by triangle in the first round. Gormley was in his first fight in the UFC and will most likely get a shot to redeem himself against someone else the UFC signs or one of the castmates of The Ulitimate Fighter: Heavyweights that loses at the finale to see who stays in the UFC.

Struve lost his UFC debut against Junior Dos Santos but has looked impressive against his last two challengers. He will more than likely fight one of the gatekeepers of the division such as Antoni Hardonk, Heath Herring or Chieck Kongo.

In the next heavyweight fight Pat Berry defeated Antoni Hardonk by TKO in the second round. as I already stated Hardonk will probably face an up and comer in the division such as Struve or one of the castmates from TUF: Heayweights that wins at the finale.
Pat Berry will probably face another one of the gatekeepers in Herring or Kongo though I would like to see him face Ben Rothwell since Rothwell seems to be in a position where he will either become a gatekeeper with a loss or get a shot at one of the top five in the division with a win.

Finally, that brings us to the co-main event that saw Cain Velasquez defeat Ben Rothwell by second round TKO. As has been stated I think Rothwell should face an up and comer with a loss making him a gatekeeper in the division and a win earning him a shot at a top five heavyweight.

Velasquez looked impressive in his victory over Ben Rothwell. I think that he could challenge Lesnar and would fair very well, but with the recent postponement of the Lesnar/Carwin fight i would like to see Velasquez face Minotauro Nogueira for the number one contender spot. Velasquez has not faced anyone yet with the submission skills of Minotauro and I think it would be interesting to see if Velasquez after taking Minotauro down will leave an opening for Minotauro to submit Velasquez.

Now it is time to wait and see what Dana White and Joe Silva will decide for the next opponents for these fighters.
